The two-county riding is mainly rural, with Simcoe, Caledonia and Dunnville being the major centres. The riding's port towns give it unique character. Be sure to check out the boutiques of Port Rowan and the famous Lake Erie perch restaurants in Port Dover. Other port towns are Port Maitland, Nanticoke, Turkey Point, Booth's Harbour and St. Williams. The towns of Cayuga, Hagersville, Delhi and Waterford offer small-town living and charm close to major centres.
Agriculture is the main industry of Haldimand-Norfolk. Cash crops comprise the main acreage in Haldimand County. Norfolk County is more diverse, with producers growing vegetable crops, fruit, ginseng, tobacco and a variety of specialty crops. A growing industry in both counties is grape-growing and estate wineries.
Tourism is a growing component of the economy -- beautiful beaches, walking/biking trails, the drag way at Nelles Corners, the many festivals are just some of the highlights of the emerging eco-tourism industry.
